The distant past holds a magnetic allure that continues to captivate the human imagination. Yet, only a select few can unearth knowledge that has seemingly sunk into the depths of history, bringing it back into our collective awareness. Pietro Ruffo embarks on a journey through time, exploring the ancient period when the first humans appeared on Earth, while questioning the relevance of the term "Anthropocene." His immersive installations unfold across the main floor, one after the other. "The Last Wonderful Minute," which also serves as the title of one of his works, reimagines the atmosphere of a primeval forest within the Palazzo delle Esposizioni. Visitors can explore the circular pieces of "De Hortus," offering a glimpse into a long-forgotten past. The exhibition continues, tracing humanity's earliest footsteps before delving into a meditation on time, brought to life by the video installation "The Planetary Garden." The experience concludes with a section focused on Rome, analyzed through its evolving historical and geological layers.
